Weha vacuum lifters guide infographic

Choosing the right vacuum lifter is a safety decision as much as a purchasing decision. The wrong capacity, the wrong operation type, or the wrong air setup can create serious risk on the shop floor or jobsite. This guide breaks down all four Weha UNI-PAD vacuum lifters so you can match the right tool to your operation.

The Two Key Decisions

  1. How much capacity do you need? — 600 series (1,323 lb horizontal) or 800 series (1,764 lb horizontal)
  2. Do you have continuous air supply? — If yes, T series (pneumatic only) works. If not, you need EP series (hand pump + air)

When to Choose Each Model

EP600 — Best for: Jobsite installers and shops without dedicated air lines

The EP600 is the most versatile lifter in the lineup. Its double-action hand pump builds full vacuum in 10–15 pumps and holds suction for approximately 1 hour on polished granite — no compressor needed. When air is available, plug in for continuous venturi operation.

Choose the EP600 if: You work on jobsites without reliable air supply, you need a single lifter that works in both shop and field, or you’re handling standard granite and quartz slabs up to 1,323 lbs horizontal.

EP800 — Best for: High-volume shops handling large-format or heavy slabs without guaranteed air

The EP800 delivers the highest capacity in the hand pump category at 1,764 lbs horizontal. It adds an acoustic warning buzzer and multi-filter water trap not found on the EP600.

Choose the EP800 if: You regularly handle slabs heavier than 1,323 lbs, you want the acoustic alarm for added safety, or you need compressor-free operation at high capacity.

T600 — Best for: Shops with dedicated air lines and standard slab weights

The T600 matches the EP600 in capacity and pad size but operates on pneumatic power only. In a shop with dedicated air lines at every station, this is a clean, simple, lower-cost option.

⚠️ Important: The T600 cannot hold vacuum without continuous air. If your compressor cuts out, vacuum is lost.

Shop the Weha T600

T800 — Best for: High-volume shops with dedicated air and heavy slab requirements

The T800 matches the EP800’s 1,764 lb horizontal capacity at a lower price point due to pneumatic-only operation.

⚠️ Important: Vacuum is lost if air supply is interrupted. Verify compressor reliability before selecting a T series lifter.
