Porcelain and ceramic tile require core bits engineered for their vitrified, dense structure. Standard stone core bits drill too aggressively and cause micro-cracking in the glaze or chipping at the entry point. Ceramic core bits use a finer diamond matrix and harder bond to drill cleanly through glaze and body without damage. 

The collection includes vacuum brazed core bits for hard porcelain and sintered stone, wet diamond core bits for standard ceramic, and multi-material bits for installers working across different tile types on the same job. Diameters from 1/4" through 4"+ for faucet holes, toilet flanges, and custom cutouts. 

For tile that's already installed: use a guide template to position the bit accurately and start at a low angle before going vertical — this prevents the bit from walking across the glazed surface. Apply water constantly at the drill point.
