Proxxon THERMOCUT Hot Wire Cutters

Proxxon THERMOCUT hot wire cutters use a heated nichrome wire to cut through polystyrene foam (EPS and XPS), foam board insulation, polyurethane foam, and similar thermoplastic materials without the dust, fragments, and jagged edges that mechanical cutting produces. The cutting wire temperature is thermostatically controlled for consistent cutting speed and clean edge quality across different foam densities.

The THERMOCUT 115/E is the table-format hot wire cutter with an adjustable wire height and built-in fence for straight, repeatable cuts through foam board up to the machine's rated capacity. The TKS 360 circle cutter attachment enables accurate disc and circle cutting from foam sheet for round architectural elements, decorative insets, and custom foam gasket work. The TA 300 fence attachment provides additional straight-cut guidance for production foam cutting operations.

Used in stone shops for foam packaging of finished countertops and stone products, by renovation contractors for foam insulation work, and by model makers and fabricators for architectural mockups and custom foam components.
