Stone Stain & Etch Removers — Surface Restoration
Stains and etch marks are the two most common forms of stone surface damage — and they require very different treatments. A stain is a substance that has penetrated the stone's pores (oil, wine, rust, organic matter) and must be drawn back out with a poultice. An etch is a chemical reaction between acid and calcium carbonate in marble or limestone that dissolves the polished surface — it can only be repaired by re-polishing, not by chemical treatment.
This collection covers both: stain removers and poultice systems for oil, organic, rust, and metal stains on all stone types, and etch removal compounds that re-establish the polish surface on marble and limestone after acid contact. Also includes rust removers for iron staining from rebar reinforcement and plumbing proximity.
For re-polishing etched stone surfaces after chemical treatment see Maintenance Products and Polishing Pads. For ongoing stone care and prevention see Sealers & Enhancers.
