Precision tile blades prioritize cut quality over cutting speed — the ultra-thin kerf, controlled diamond exposure, and segment geometry are calibrated to produce the cleanest possible cut face on glazed ceramic and porcelain tile, minimizing or eliminating the micro-chipping that standard blades leave on the cut edge. These blades are the right choice when the cut edge will be exposed without polishing, when working with expensive decorative tile where any chip means a wasted tile, or when a wall installation requires mirror-clean cuts at grout lines.
The Esthete and Esthete 2.0 use DiStar's thinnest continuous rim format for chip-free cutting on rectified porcelain and smooth ceramic — the 2.0 updates the bond formula for improved performance on harder contemporary tile formats. The DECOR SLIM 5D features a 5-directional cutting matrix that enables both forward cutting and plunge cutting from a single blade, making it the practical choice for inside corners and L-shaped cutouts. The Perfect produces ultra-clean cuts on standard porcelain. The Razor and Shine both prioritize smooth, chip-free edge results on ceramic and standard-density porcelain at 4.5"–5".
For the highest-speed 4.5"–5" production cutting where throughput matters more than chip minimization see Production Tile Blades. For ultra-dense sintered stone see Hard Ceramics Blades. For 2"–4" detail and repair work see Mini & Detail Blades.
