Mini & Detail Blades

Mini and detail blades fill the cutting positions that a 4.5" angle grinder physically cannot reach — mosaic and glass tile work on a rotary tool, repair cuts inside an installed shower where blade clearance is measured in millimeters, channel work and outlet cutouts in confined wall tile where a full-size grinder risks damaging the surrounding installation. Each DiStar mini blade is engineered for its specific diameter and application rather than being a scaled-down general-purpose blade.

The Butterfly at 2" (45mm) adapts to Dremel, Proxxon, and rotary tool arbors for mosaic, glass tile, and micro-detail cutting. The Colibri and Termit at 3" run on 3" mini angle grinders for repair cuts and channel work in tight spaces. The Scalpel at 4" delivers the thinnest kerf in the DiStar range — the go-to choice for precision repair cuts in installed tile where material margin is critical and a wide kerf would leave a visible gap. The Elegant at 4" is optimized for glazed ceramic where the surface is harder than the tile body — chip-free on the glaze face. The Cleaner 4" is a specialized blade for tile seam cleaning and grout removal rather than through-cutting.
