Dry diamond polishing pads are engineered for applications where water is impractical — finished floor polishing, installed countertop touch-ups, staircase and threshold polishing, and any situation where water management would be difficult or damaging. The resin bond in dry pads is formulated to dissipate heat without water, maintaining cutting performance through the polishing sequence. 

All dry pads feature hook & loop backing for use on angle grinders and hand polishers. They're suitable for granite, marble, quartzite, travertine, porcelain, and concrete. While dry pads are more convenient on installed surfaces, they wear faster than wet pads on the same material — use wet pads for production shop work and dry pads for on-site finishing. 

For maximum pad life when dry polishing: work in short passes and allow the pad to cool between sections. Never press hard — let the diamond do the work. For wet polishing pads see Wet Diamond Pads.
