Honing produces a smooth, non-reflective matte or satin finish on stone surfaces — increasingly popular on marble countertops, travertine floors, and limestone wall panels where a polished mirror finish would feel too formal or show water marks too readily. Honed stone has a softer, more tactile quality that works particularly well in residential interiors. 

The honing tools in this collection include diamond honing pads in specific grit ranges that produce a consistent honed finish without polishing through to gloss, honing abrasives for machine use, and hand honing pads for edge and detail work. Suitable for marble, limestone, travertine, granite, and engineered stone.
