DiStar DGM-S Diamond Grinding Cups

DiStar DGM-S diamond grinding cups are the professional tool for edge finishing on ceramic tile, porcelain gres, and natural stone after cutting — removing blade chipping, shaping irregular edges, and producing a smooth, consistent profile ready for grouting, polishing, or exposed installation. The patented DGM-S segmented cup geometry removes material progressively and evenly along the full edge length rather than concentrating contact at a single point, which reduces heat, micro-cracking risk, and the uneven edge finish that can result from standard cup wheel geometry on dense porcelain.

The range covers two bond formulas in two sizes. The Soft Edge DGM-S 4.5" uses a softer bond calibrated for standard-hardness ceramic and porcelain — the controlled grinding action produces the smooth finish needed for edge quality on residential tile work. The Nectar DGM-S 2" at 100 grit fits Proxxon LHW/A and LHW/E long-neck tools as well as standard angle grinders with an adaptor, making it the go-to cup for grinding in confined spaces where a 4.5" wheel won't fit — inside corners, narrow profiles, and edge work on installed tile. The Hard Ceramics DGM-S 2" and 4" use a harder bond formulation for ultra-dense fired porcelain, sintered stone, and natural granite where a soft bond wears rapidly.
