Stone countertop overhangs — particularly on kitchen islands and breakfast bars — require structural support to prevent cracking over time. As a general rule: any granite or stone overhang exceeding 8–12 inches should have concealed steel support bars installed beneath it, regardless of the stone thickness. 

The counter support bars in this collection are flat steel bars that install between the cabinet substrate and the stone, spanning the unsupported distance and transferring cantilever load back to the cabinet structure. Available in multiple lengths and adjustable configurations for non-standard overhang depths.
