Description

Flexible carbon steel wire brushes for aggressive surface cleaning, deburring, rust removal, and finishing across a wide range of materials. The flexibility of the carbon steel wire makes these brushes highly conformable — they adapt to contoured and irregular shapes that rigid abrasives can't follow, making them ideal for cleaning complex profiles, castings, and contoured workpieces.

Specifications:

  • Brush diameter: 5/16" (approx. 8mm)
  • Shank diameter: 2.35mm (3/32") — fits standard Micromot collets
  • Bristle material: carbon steel wire (flexible)
  • Quantity: 2 brushes per pack

Ideal for:

  • Deburring metal parts and castings
  • Rust removal
  • Polishing and matting surfaces
  • Paint and lacquer removal
  • Cleaning electrical components
  • Working on contoured and irregular shapes

Suitable materials: metal, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, castings, plastics, semi-precious stones, stone, and wood.

Carbon steel vs. brass brushes — which do you need?

  • Carbon steel (this brush) — more aggressive, better for rust removal, paint stripping, and heavy deburring
  • Brass brushes — gentler, acid resistant and electrically neutral — the safe choice for electronics and precious metals
