The Proxxon Quick-Change Tool Post (No. 24026) is a significant productivity upgrade for the PD 250/E Precision Lathe. It replaces the standard tool post with a quick-release system that lets you swap cutting tools in seconds — without re-zeroing the tool height each time. Two tool holder elements are included, so you can pre-set multiple tools and rotate between them mid-operation.
Height adjustment is fast and repeatable: set each holder once, and it returns to the same position every time it's mounted. This is especially valuable when alternating between roughing, finishing, and parting operations on the same workpiece.
