Description
The Proxxon Self-Centering 3-Jaw Chuck (No. 24034) is a high-quality scroll chuck for the Proxxon Precision Lathe PD 250/E (No. 34002), manufactured to DIN 8386 Class 1 standards with a concentricity accuracy of 0.04mm. The three jaws self-center simultaneously for fast, repeatable workpiece clamping — ideal for round and hexagonal stock where speed and repeatability matter more than the eccentric holding capability of a 4-jaw chuck.
Reversing jaws extend the capacity range from 2mm up to 75mm, covering the full range of workpiece diameters the PD 250/E is designed to handle. Also compatible with the Proxxon Dividing Attachment (No. 24044) for indexed rotary operations.
Key Features
- DIN 8386 Class 1 — precision-grade scroll chuck standard
- 0.04mm concentricity accuracy — high precision for turned parts
- Self-centering — all three jaws move simultaneously for fast setup
- Reversing jaws — extends capacity from 2mm to 75mm
3-Jaw vs. 4-Jaw — Which Should You Choose?
- 3-Jaw Self-Centering / No. 24034 (this chuck) — fast setup, self-centering; best for round and hex stock, production turning, and repeat operations
- 4-Jaw Independent Chuck (No. 24036) — each jaw adjusts independently; best for square stock, eccentric turning, and non-round workpieces
