The Proxxon Silicon Carbide Polishing Points (No. 28295) are a 2-piece set of cylindrical silicon carbide polishing points for Proxxon Micromot tools, on 2.35mm shanks. Unlike standard mounted grinding points, these are made in a conformable, high-resistance bonding (not rubber) that allows the abrasive to conform slightly to the workpiece surface — delivering smooth, consistent polishing action rather than aggressive material removal.
Particularly effective for polishing cut edges of Plexiglas (acrylic) to a clean, sleek finish, and for fine surface work on precious metals, mold and die components, and fine mechanical parts where surface quality is critical.
