The knife-edge wheel profile is designed for precise line engraving, sharp groove work, and fine detail cutting in glass, ceramics, porcelain, and stone — where the thin edge delivers controlled, narrow cuts that broader profiles cannot achieve.
Silicon carbide abrasive with fine, consistent grit particles is the correct choice for these hard, brittle materials — harder than aluminum oxide, it cuts cleanly without glazing. Also suitable for grinding cast steel, cast iron, and other hard steels.
