The rubber foam ring creates the airtight seal between the vacuum pad and the slab surface — when the foam compresses, cracks, or loses elasticity, suction capacity drops and safe lifting is compromised. Replacing the foam ring and back pad restores full vacuum performance and safe lifting capacity.
