Description
Clear impregnating sealer that preserves the natural appearance of stone. Tenax Hydrex is a penetrating impregnating sealer that protects stone from water and oil-based stains without altering the color or appearance of the surface — the stone looks exactly as it did before sealing. Waterproof and oil-proof while remaining breathable, Hydrex is particularly effective on polished granite, Carrara, Thassos, Trani, and similar dense polished stones where a color-enhancing sealer is not desired.
Coverage: approximately 215–323 sq. ft. per quart depending on stone porosity. 2-year shelf life. Indoor and outdoor use.

How to Apply
- Ensure the surface is clean and completely dry
- Apply evenly using a clean sponge, cloth, or brush until the surface no longer absorbs the product
- Immediately buff with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess — excess product creates a glossy or sticky film
- Wait 10–15 minutes and repeat if needed
- For floors, do not walk on the treated surface for 24 hours
- Test on a small hidden area before first use
Note: Hydrex does not prevent etching on marble. Acidic substances (wine, citrus, tomato, coffee) will etch marble regardless of sealer. For etching issues, use Tenax TeEtch Etch Remover.
