The Proxxon conical medium polishing sponges (yellow) are designed for use with the Proxxon Angle Polisher WP/E — refining the surface after the hard sponge compound pass and removing compound residue before the final soft sponge finishing step. The conical profile reaches into recesses and curved areas, and the hook and loop (Velcro) backing mounts and releases from the WP/E instantly. Two sponges per pack.

Hard vs. Medium vs. Soft — Which Grade Do You Need?

The WP/E sponges are available in three grades for different stages of the polishing process:

1. Hard sponge (No. 29096): For applying and working in polishing compound. Removes light scratches and oxidation.
2. Medium sponge (No. 29094) — this sponge: For intermediate polishing passes — refining the surface after the hard sponge and removing compound residue before the final finishing step.
3. Soft sponge (No. 29095): For final high-gloss finishing and wax application. The softest grade for the most delicate final pass.

Do I need all three sponge grades?
For best results on painted surfaces, yes — each grade refines the surface left by the previous one. For light polishing or maintenance, the medium and soft grades alone can produce excellent results.
