The Proxxon Spare Cutting Wire for THERMOCUT 115/E (No. 28080) is a replacement NiCr 80/20 resistance wire for the Proxxon Hot Wire Cutter THERMOCUT 115/E (No. 37080). NiCr 80/20 (80% nickel, 20% chromium) is the standard alloy for hot wire cutting — it heats evenly, maintains consistent resistance across its length, and withstands repeated thermal cycling without brittleness.
The 0.2mm wire diameter matches the THERMOCUT 115/E's wire tensioning system. At 30m per spool, this provides a generous supply of replacement wire for extended use. The spool dimensions (24mm diameter, 8mm thick, 6.5mm bore) are sized for easy handling and storage.
