Description

Color-matched flowing polyester for seams, rodding, and lamination. Tenax Colored Flowing Polyester is a liquid-consistency polyester adhesive formulated for horizontal stone repairs, seaming, rodding, crack filling, and lamination — where a knife-grade mastic is too thick to flow into the joint and a transparent adhesive would read as a visible line against colored stone. Available in White and Buff to match the most common stone tones, and easily tinted further with Tenax color pastes.

Fast cure: approximately 15–20 minutes with 8–10 minutes of working time. Polishes to a high gloss. Extremely strong bond. Italian-made top-grade resin. True 1-liter volume — 10–25% more adhesive per can than many competitors. Interior use only; not suitable for temperatures below 32°F.

Key Features

  • Flowing consistency — self-levels into seams, cracks, and rodding channels
  • White and Buff colors — covers the most common stone tones; tintable with color paste
  • Fast cure: 15–20 minutes; 8–10 minute working time
  • Polishes to a high-gloss finish
  • Extremely strong bond — top-grade Italian resin
  • Excellent for rodding: compatible with carbon fiber, fiberglass, plastic, and steel rods
  • True 1-liter volume — 10–25% more adhesive per can vs. competitors
  • Interior use only

Colored Flowing vs. Transparent Flowing — Which to Choose

  • Colored Flowing (this product) — White and Buff base colors; use when the seam or repair needs a colored base to match the stone tone
  • Transparent Flowing Polyester — clear base; use for light-veined, translucent, or mixed-tone stone where a colored base would show through

Compatible Materials

  • Granite, marble, quartzite, travertine, limestone, slate, sandstone, onyx, serpentine, alabaster
  • Engineered quartz and engineered stone

How to Use

  • Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust
  • If tinting, add color paste to the resin before introducing the catalyst
  • Mix resin and catalyst at a 100:2–3 ratio (see technical data sheet); stir thoroughly
  • Apply immediately — do not return mixed adhesive to the original container
  • Allow to fully cure (15–20 minutes), then grind flush and polish to match surrounding stone
  • Seal container tightly after use; store between 65°F–77°F; 12-month shelf life
