Description
Travertine's natural holes and voids demand a filler that's neither too stiff nor too thin. Tenax Travertine Filler Buff is a semi-solid polyester engineered specifically for this job — it flows into pits and voids of all sizes without running out, holds its fill level, and cures to a polishable finish that disappears into the surrounding stone. The result: a seamless, professional repair that holds up underfoot and under polish.
Designed for horizontal applications — floors, countertops, and flat surfaces. Accepts color paste for precise tone matching. Interior use only. Not suitable for temperatures below 32°F. 12-month shelf life.
Key Features
- Semi-solid consistency — flows into voids without running; holds fill level without sagging
- Purpose-built for travertine holes, pits, and voids of all sizes
- Polishable after curing — blends seamlessly with surrounding travertine
- Accepts color paste for precise tone matching
- Designed for horizontal applications (floors, countertops, flat surfaces)
- Interior use only
Compatible Materials
- Travertine (primary application)
- Limestone, sandstone, and other porous natural stones with similar void structures
How to Use
- Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free of dust and debris
- If color matching, add color paste before introducing the catalyst — use caution, excess paste may affect performance
- Mix catalyst at 2–3 parts per 100 parts filler by weight (see technical data sheet)
- Stir thoroughly and apply, slightly overfilling voids to account for minor shrinkage
- Allow to cure until excess can be trimmed with a razor blade
- Remove remaining traces with acetone, then grind flush and polish to match surrounding stone
- Do not return mixed product to the original container
- Seal tightly after use; store between 65°F–77°F; 12-month shelf life
