Description

Fast-curing methacrylate adhesive for stone rodding, sink clips, and structural bonding. Tenax TeRod Cartridge is a two-part 1:1 methacrylate structural bonding adhesive engineered for the demanding applications that polyester and epoxy systems aren’t suited for — steel and fiberglass rodding, sink clip installation, and structural bonding of stone to metal, aluminum, and solid surface materials. Working time of 3–6 minutes with approximately 90% of ultimate strength achieved in 10–15 minutes at room temperature.

⚠️ Important: TeRod is NOT UV stable and will yellow over time. It must not be used for visible countertop seams or color-matched repairs. Yellowing does not affect bond performance, only appearance.

Key Features

  • 1:1 methacrylate formula — structural bond strength for rodding and mechanical fastening applications
  • Fast cure — 3–6 minute working time; ~90% strength in 10–15 minutes at room temperature
  • Bonds stone, quartz, engineered stone, fiberglass, steel, aluminum, and solid surface
  • No surface preparation required in most applications
  • Pre-dosed 1:1 cartridge — consistent mix ratio, no measuring
  • Requires a 1:1 cartridge gun
  • Not UV stable — not for visible seams or color-matched repairs

Primary Applications

  • Steel and fiberglass rodding of stone slabs
  • Sink clip installation
  • Stone to steel or aluminum bonding
  • Stone to solid surface (acrylic and polyester) bonding
  • Structural bonding of engineered stone and quartz

Compatible Materials

  • All natural stone — granite, marble, quartzite, travertine, limestone
  • Engineered quartz and engineered stone
  • Steel and aluminum
  • Fiberglass
  • Solid surface (acrylic and polyester)

How to Use

  1. Load cartridge into a 1:1 cartridge gun
  2. Attach a static mixing tip and dispense a small amount to waste before application
  3. Apply to the bonding surface and assemble immediately — working time is 3–6 minutes
  4. Hold or clamp in place; approximately 90% strength achieved in 10–15 minutes
  5. After use, remove and discard the mixing tip; replace cap on cartridge
