Description

Purpose-built polyester filler for travertine holes and voids. Tenax Travertine Filler is a semi-solid polyester filler specifically developed for filling the natural holes, pits, and voids in travertine and similar porous natural stones — a job that standard knife-grade polyester is too stiff for and flowing polyester is too thin for. The semi-solid consistency flows into voids of all sizes without running out, holds its fill level, and cures to a polishable finish that blends with the surrounding travertine surface.

Designed primarily for horizontal applications (floors, countertops, and flat surfaces). Accepts color paste for tone matching. Interior use only; not suitable for temperatures below 32°F. 12-month shelf life.

Key Features

  • Semi-solid consistency — flows into voids without running; holds fill level without sagging
  • Purpose-built for travertine holes, pits, and voids of all sizes
  • Polishable after curing — blends seamlessly with surrounding travertine
  • Accepts color paste for precise tone matching
  • Designed for horizontal applications
  • Interior use only

Compatible Materials

  • Travertine (primary application)
  • Limestone, sandstone, and other porous natural stones with similar void structures

How to Use

  • Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free of dust and debris
  • If color matching, add color paste to the filler before introducing the catalyst — use caution, excess color paste may affect performance
  • Mix catalyst at a ratio of 2–3 parts per 100 parts filler by weight (see technical data sheet)
  • Stir thoroughly and apply, slightly overfilling voids to account for minor shrinkage
  • Allow to cure until excess can be trimmed with a razor blade
  • Remove remaining traces with acetone, then grind flush and polish to match surrounding stone
  • Do not return mixed product to the original container
  • Seal container tightly after use; store between 65°F–77°F; 12-month shelf life
