Description
Professional rust stain removal for natural stone and masonry. Tenax TeRust Rust Remover Poultice Powder is specifically formulated to draw rust stains up and out of porous stone surfaces using a proven chelate-based stain reversal technique — no harsh scrubbing, no surface damage. Effective on its own for most rust staining, or mix with Tenax Rust Remover Liquid for a more aggressive treatment on deep-set or stubborn stains. 8 oz dry powder format with long shelf life.
Standard vs. Enhanced Application
- Standard use — mix TeRust powder with water to a toothpaste consistency and apply as a poultice; ideal for surface-level and moderate rust staining
- Enhanced use — substitute water with Tenax Rust Remover Liquid when mixing; activates the chelating agents more aggressively for deeper, more stubborn rust stain extraction
How to Use
- Scoop out the needed amount of TeRust powder.
- Mix with water (or Tenax Rust Remover Liquid for stronger results) to form a toothpaste-like consistency.
- Apply the poultice directly over the rust stain.
- Cover with plastic wrap and puncture several small holes with a toothpick to allow slow drying.
- Leave in place for 24–48 hours until fully dried.
- Remove the dried poultice — the rust stain will be drawn out with it.
- Rinse the surface clean and inspect. Repeat if necessary for stubborn staining.
Note: Calcium-based stones (marble, travertine, limestone) may etch during treatment and require re-polishing after use.
