Description
The compact 4" rodding blade for tight spaces and smaller grinders. The Weha Matrix 4" x 1/4" Turbo Rodding Blade is a diamond blade engineered to cut the reinforcement channel for 1/8" fiberglass and metal rods in granite, marble, engineered stone, quartz, quartzite, and concrete countertops. Same dual-blade construction as the 5" Turbo Rodding Blade — in a 4" format for use with smaller angle grinders or in tighter working conditions.
How It Works
The Matrix Rodding Blade is constructed from two Weha EB blades separated by a 1/8" metal spacer, all welded together as a single unit. As the blade cuts, the stone between the two blades is expelled through cooling holes, leaving a clean, square 1/4" groove ready for rod installation — no secondary cleanup pass required.

4" vs 5" — Which Rodding Blade Do You Need?
- Matrix 4" (this product) — compact format; ideal for smaller angle grinders, tighter working conditions, or operators who prefer a lighter tool
- Weha 5" Turbo Rodding Blade — larger format; faster material removal on open countertop runs; preferred for high-volume production rodding
Key Features
- Dual-blade construction — two EB blades welded with 1/8" spacer; expels stone cleanly for a perfect square groove
- Turbo speed — cuts rodding channels as fast as a standard turbo blade
- 10mm full diamond height — extended blade life for production rodding work
- 1/4" groove width — precise fit for standard fiberglass and metal reinforcement rods
- Multi-arbor — fits 7/8", 20mm, and 5/8" arbors
- Wet or dry use — flexible for shop and jobsite applications
Works Well With
- Weha Steel Carbon Fiber Rodding — the rodding material that installs into the 1/4" channel cut by this blade
- Weha 5" Turbo Rodding Blade — larger 5" format for high-volume production rodding
- Weha 5" WX2 Multi Blade — 3-in-1 alternative that also functions as a rodding blade
- Weha 4" Flap Diamond Cup Wheel — for surface grinding and cleanup around the rodding channel area
- Tenax Colored Knife Grade Polyester — for filling and finishing the rodded seam after installation
