Description
When hairline cracks threaten the integrity of your granite, marble, or natural stone, Tenax Epoxart Kit 2:1 delivers the precision fix professionals trust. Its water-thin viscosity allows it to wick deep into the finest hairline cracks by capillary action, while its water-clear cure leaves virtually no visible trace — preserving the natural beauty of the stone.
Why Water-Thin & Water-Clear Matters
- Water-thin viscosity — flows freely into hairline cracks, micro-fissures, and porous stone without forcing or pressure
- Water-clear cure — cures nearly invisible, maintaining the stone's natural color and pattern
- Color enhancement — subtly deepens and enriches the natural tone of granite and stone surfaces
- Deep penetration — reaches the full depth of cracks for a structurally sound, lasting repair
- Superb adhesion — bonds tenaciously to granite, marble, quartzite, and natural stone
- Medium hardness — cured epoxy flexes slightly to resist re-cracking under stress
Ideal Applications
- Hairline crack repair in granite countertops, slabs, and tiles
- Consolidating micro-fissures in marble and natural stone before fabrication
- Reinforcing fragile or brittle stone with fiberglass mesh backing
- Stabilizing stone prior to cutting, polishing, or installation
Kit Contents
- Epoxart A-5008 — 1 kg (Resin, Part A)
- Epoxart B-BM50 — 0.5 kg (Hardener, Part B)
- Total kit weight: 1.5 kg
- Mix ratio: 2 parts resin : 1 part hardener (by weight)
How to Use
- Clean and thoroughly dry the stone surface — remove all dust, oils, and debris from the crack.
- Measure by weight: 2 parts resin (Part A) to 1 part hardener (Part B).
- Mix thoroughly for several minutes with clean plastic tools; clean tools with acetone or butyl acetate.
- Apply directly into hairline cracks — the water-thin formula self-levels and wicks in by capillary action.
- Allow to fully cure before grinding, polishing, or loading the surface.
- Reseal containers tightly after use.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Store below 35°C (95°F), away from heat, direct sunlight, humidity, and freezing
- Resin (Part A): 24-month shelf life at 20–25°C
- Hardener (Part B): 12-month shelf life in original sealed containers
Choosing the Right Epoxart Kit
