Description

The Tenax Epoxart Kit 2:1 is a very fluid, high-adhesion epoxy system engineered specifically for lamination, fiberglass netting, and colored materials. Its water-thin viscosity wets out mesh cleanly, flows into laminated buildups without starving the bond line, and cures clear and glossy. With about an hour of working time in the cup and polish-ready in 24 hours at shop temp, it's the middle-of-the-road timing option — more open time than the 4:1, faster than the 3:1.

Epoxart Kit A+B — Which Ratio Do You Need?

Same proven Tenax epoxy chemistry, three cure profiles. Every kit includes Part A (resin) and Part B (hardener) — always mixed together by weight. All three cure to the same hardness (Shore D 77–80). The difference is cure speed, flow, and sunlight stability.

The penetration kit

Thinnest flow, longest open time, and the best sunlight stability in the line. Reach for it on porous or fractured stone and outdoor work.

Accelerated cure — polish or cut in 6–8 hours. The pick for white materials sensitive to halos. Mix small batches: pot life is minutes, not hours.

Every kit, every time:

  • Mix Part A + Part B by weight, not volume — the ratio is in the kit name.
  • Stone must be completely dry and clean before resining.
  • 4TO1 users: mix only what you can apply in about 5 minutes. Pot life is 7–8 minutes at 77°F (25°C).
  • Never use PVC containers; keep resin away from copper and brass.
  • Gloves and safety glasses required. See the SDS before use.
  • Store sealed in original containers at 68–77°F (20–25°C). Do not let the resin freeze. Shelf life 24 months.

How to Use

  1. Clean and thoroughly dry the stone surface — remove all dust, oils, and debris from the crack.
  2. Measure by weight: 2 parts resin (Part A) to 1 part hardener (Part B).
  3. Mix thoroughly using clean corrosion-resistant plastic tools — never PVC, copper, or brass.
  4. Apply directly into hairline cracks or onto mesh — the water-thin formula self-levels and wicks in by capillary action. Wear safety gloves and glasses.
  5. Allow to fully cure before grinding, polishing, or loading the surface.
  6. Reseal containers tightly after use; never let the resin freeze.

Storage & Shelf Life

  • Store below 35°C (95°F), away from heat, direct sunlight, humidity, and freezing
  • Shelf life: 24 months sealed at 68–77°F (20–25°C)
